And yet another night when technology and my kindle saved my butt.
Last year when I went to India, I had a couple of devotions to share with the women. I not only made a paper copy of each of them and put them in each piece of luggage, I also made a kindle doc of them. Fast forward to tonight.
The message on "The Pattern" was nowhere to be found in my files. I mentioned earlier that some of my old files disappeared in an earlier laptop death. This was one of them. Luckily, I remembered that I had made that kindle doc and went to the "manage my kindle" part of amazon. It's now dowloading to my kindle. I don't know if I can extract the text, but at least I have the words that I can re-type.
I am so thankful for Amazon for keeping my personal file docs! It's not only a great way to read things on the go, but also a way to store some docs, too. I'm thinking that maybe I need to send my writing to my kindle docs every once in awhile just in case. It's an interesting back-up alternative.
Not much writing done tonight, mostly searching. But after this one, I'll be about 40% done with my first draft, and it's not even the 1st of the month yet. Goal is in sight!
